As America is following the steps that occured in Japan 1989/1990 it will be worth looking to see how close the Dow will follow the path of the Nikkei in its demise.Similar events are happening in the US...real estate to unreal values, corruption in large companies,shares/real estate/banks all intertwined in mates deals. If history repeats itself them some cracks are going to appear in the banking system in regard to bad loans that have shares or real estate as collateral. It will not be the same as Japan but the causes will be very similar. The Nikkei has 225 stocks so maybe the S&P 500 maybe a better comparison. The Nikkei went up 4 fold over 5 years,so a similar time would suit the Dow study. The Dow peaked in 2000 so will it return to 1995 levels....about 5000?We shall see when the banks and real estate are targeted...not to mention the odd war being fought.
