LONDON, April 21 (Reuters) - Australia's North West Shelf liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility resumed production on Friday following an unplanned outage on April 15, a project spokeswoman said.

"We have restored domestic gas production and recommenced liquefied natural gas (LNG) production at Karratha Gas Plant," she said. "We are prioritising the safe return to full LNG production as soon as possible."

Pipeline gas output feeding the domestic western Australian market was restored on April 18, but it took longer to restart the liquefaction plant.
