News: Lindsay Australia acquires Queensland transport company

  1. Lindsay Australia (ASX:LAU) has entered into an agreement to purchase trucks and other assets of Haack’s Transport, as well as assume a lease of its premises located near Tully, North Queensland, for about $600,000.

    Haack’s Transport is a provider of refrigerated and general transport, warehousing and distribution services and has a turnover of approximately $5 million per annum.

    The acquisition is part of the company’s ongoing strategic focus on providing specialist services to rural suppliers.

    Its principal Eric Haack will be engaged as a consultant for a period of two years to assist in marketing, customer transition and expanding the customer base.

    Lindsay Australia is an integrated transport, logistics and rural supply company with a focus on servicing customers in the food processing, food services, fresh produce, rural and horticultural sectors.
