News Corp and media hype

It never fails to amaze me how much hype surrounds News Corp - not surprising, I guess, since its a media company. They're saying look at the cashflow while the bottom line seems to be that they're losing money hand over fist. Even King Rupert might be stretching the realms of credibility to turn a $12 billion loss around. Here's a hypothetical question for those who are buying into the hype which I feel is merely aimed at inflating the share price of a company which has been in the doldrums for a year. If, further down the track, the banks decide enough is enough and call a stop to financing billions being flushed down the gurgler will the average Joe Bloggs shareholder get to hear about it? Afterall, who controls the media? And how fiscally responsible is it of NCP to still be issuing executives shares at $4.79 while recording such huge losses? Just a thought or two for reflection.
