Murders in USA and OZ

    Which country has the most murders per 100,000?Did you guess that it would be USA with all those guns.You are right,but only just.In 2000 USA had 5.5 murders per 100k and OZ had 5.4.I guessed when asked the question that it would be the USA by a mile because we had all those guns handed in.However the US murders are declining and ours appear to be increasing.Are we just a murderous bunch of people who kill with or without guns?
