Yesterday - what a wonderful day for Mesoblast, patients and MSB'ers.
I just want to gather my thoughts whilst it is still fresh
Reflection:
Two days ago
@col69 asked me that given I got the short squeeze and then the MESO entry into the NBI – what is my next request?
I’ve said Ryoncil approval of course – We've finally got the first FDA product approved and on Thursday too

Then yesterday, at a spur at the moment we’ve decided to do a Melbourne catch up drink.I didn’t think too much about it and just headed to the pup for a drink or three.
On reflection, this catch up was needed and enjoyable for those that were able to make it. I won't name names, what happened in the pub stays in the pub!
As long suffering MSB’ers, yesterday was a significant milestone and we all needed a debrief.
MSB'ers have had mixed emotions yesterday: happy, relieved, bewildered, excited, relaxed…
The catch up was impromptu and with a very short notice. But, those that made it enjoyed the gathering and the moment to share their own MSB story. It was also great to put some faces to HC & FB posters too
Whilst I’m reflecting, I would like to thank all contributors on HC.
Collectively, we have so many experts – and they helped me through this journey.
We all come from different walks in live but came together to invest in Mesoblast. Yes, it’s an investment – but, isn’t nice to be involved with something that does good and not harm to the world?
Just a quick call out to
@Wilba32 – I really appreciate your sense of humour, especially during the challenging time – so thank you for being you!
Where to next? Each to their own, but for me, the FDA CRL noose has been taken off and now I’m stress free with my investment in MSB.
I’m planning to stay for long time and enjoy the compounding multiples

Sure, the SP won’t go up in a straight line, but as long as it goes in a NE direction, I’m happy.
Maybe
@gerzensee can help us out here and give us some thoughts after in this new Dawn for MSB and where oour psychology should be e.g.
https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/77053314/singleShort term catalystsFrom here, we will have an avalanche of news for Ryoncil, which will have a snowball effect on the SP - going upwards of course.
Just at the top of my head:
- First hospital sign up
- First patient treated
- Patients stories
- Reimbursement agreed
- First payment received
- Broker reports and re-rates
- Medical journals
- News/ articles about first allogeneic MSC product approval
- Partnerships $$$
- + + +
@dachopper – do you have time to create one of those nice lists you have done in the past?
Paradigm shiftApproval of Ryoncil is a significant milestone and changes Mesoblast as a company, a paradigm shift in medical treatment and for the company to move from research to commercialisation.
It has brought credibility to Mesoblast and now we can look to other Mesoblast indications more positively.
We also have a huge MOAT!
I won’t do it justice to describe any more here, so I defer to
@otherperspective posts e.g. https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/76890367/single and please give us an update on the metamorphosis process too whilst you are at it
ValuationWe’ve just seen Maxim raised their estimate for MESO from $18 to $30 on Ryoncil’s approval. This was just based on the approval yesterday. These re-rate will happen often and revised upwards on each MSB catalyst.
The sheer potential Mesoblast revenue numbers are crazy, go ahead and do some of your own calculations and you'll see, but here is one prepared earlier by
@Pharmagang - https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/75624805/single
And whilst MESO was disappointing overnight, don’t forget that MESO is largely unknown in the US and this sleeping giant is just awakening. Have a look at
@The Yankee posts e.g. https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/77106112/single
OverallWe’ve got over the challenging and risky part of our investment journey - Phew!
Before yesterday, I was nervously excited.
Now, I'm relaxed and excited

We are all early birds here. We are merely in the basement level of the Burj Khalifa.
I’m looking forward to MSB new dawn and the fun part of the ride. Going from one floor to the next one up on the Burj Khalifa.
As for the day-to-day SP, I'm still interested but not too stressed - again as long as MSB SP goes in a NE direction, I’m happy.
GL MSB’ers onwards and upwards
I better throw in a disclaimer - this is all just my thoughts and not investment advice!
