The only possible outcome from that transactional approach is for other countries to develop in country defence supply capacity and/or purchase from more aligned countries in bilateral trade deals … ditto for pharmaceuticals. ie, cut back buying military equipment and consumables and pharmaceuticals from American companies. I agree. He assumes other countries have neither technical nor intellectual capability. If he takes an American first approach to everything he risks losing the others But then that assumes that the others have the will and strategic thinking to take back their own power I look at macron strutting on the international stage and see another narcissist
