Metastock - Custom Indicators ...

Hmmm ... for those pondering the various strengths of Metastock it is worth noting that in addition to the extensive list of built-in Indicators that for the advanced and mathematically inclined it is worth exploring the development of one's own custom indicators.

The fact that technical analysis has at one level the never ending search for the so called 'holy grail' is testament to the fervent activity which in the main often translates into the increasingly complex rather than the development of simple concepts.

The chart illustrates a custom indicator and that even the most elementary of charting tools applied to a leading Bank stock can provide what is a simple yet extremely accurate and consistently reliable method to time early entries for both long and short positions ... particularly important for derivatives players...


Of course, it is possible to add any combination of indicators to provide early/trigger/confirmation signals and most traders do according to individual preferences ...
