Fellow lions and lionesses and whatever other proud variations of the pride we have roaming this savannah,
I rolled my lithium capital out of PLS today and straight into LTR. Not because PLS suddenly forgot how to hunt, but because right now I am chasing speed, not size.
PLS is the king. Big mane, big footprint, big respect. But kings move when the whole plain moves. LTR moves when the grass rustles. At this stage of the cycle that difference matters if you are looking for near to short term growth rather than long term admiration.
This is not a forever call and it is not a knock on PLS. It is a time frame decision. LTR is in that awkward phase markets always struggle with. Past the scary part, not yet fully priced, ramping production, improving pricing, execution starting to look boring in the best possible way.
Lithium has clearly lifted off the floor. BESS demand is real. Auctions are showing buyers again. And the market is starting to reward operating leverage rather than just scale. In that environment I want torque.
If lithium keeps behaving, both names will do fine. If the next leg is about rerating rather than just participation, LTR looks better placed to surprise over the next stretch.
Not advice. Just how I am playing it.
Let the pride debate commence.
