I hope interested investors have managed to have a read of the research report on GCN http://www.sino.com.au/gcn/2003GoConnectReport.pdf
It gives a focused view of where GCN is concentrating and points to likely developments. I am impressed By two things. First SSI through GCN
is trying to build credibility and exposure for the Gotrek technology, the emphasis is an ongoing profitable business. The reports high light
is the move into the mobile space through the Microsoft O2 XDA phone and the GPRS network . With deals with three Asian carriers at advanced stages. This report would be worse than useless if there was not extreme confidence of these deals being done. The technology is already operating.
Given this the net income projections are relevant and enticing to the point of causing one to look twice to make sure ones eyes are not playing tricks. The net income ( not revenue ) calculations produce a net present value of $1.63 per GCN share. To this must be added the ISP business which is now national , the ISP Gotreks and also Directory Assist which is an interesting idea in itself. Giving further credibility to the picture is the continuing affiliate program esp. Warner Music who from the past announcement are esp. targeting the GPRS Gotrek.

"Another important part of the relationship is the extension of
GoConnect's existing content agreement with Warner Music into the
mobile phone environment via the GPRS network, which will allow
GoConnect to deliver WMA music content to GPRS enabled mobile

"The objective of delivering TV quality videos to GPRS enabled mobile
phone devices will become a market reality by early 2003. GoTrek has
been tested successfully on the Microsoft Pocket PC Phone branded in
Australia as the 02 XDA phone," said Mr Voglis. "GPRS enabled mobile
devices that utilise the GoTrek application will be offered an
interactive music channel, which will deliver current chart music
video hits and will further allow consumers to select a genre of
music, specific to their individual taste."

Throw in TheBestmix competition initiative ( which revenue generating ability should also not be ignored ) http://www.thebestmix.com
and I think that GCN and SSI shareholders have lots to look forward to.
At the moment in My opinion none of this is reflected in the relevant Mkt. Caps. The Upside to Me is very apparent. suggest others have a good look at the report for themselves.
