Thanks for bringing up that albemarle news. I’m putting my comment in this thread as it does not belong in the TA charting thread.

@anatol is probably in the best position to comment on this because he has a lot of stored data and just by plugging these numbers 125,000 less hydroxide supply his tool might generate a scenario.

In reading an article about the cutback, albemarle emphasised its objective to become cash flow positive by 2021. If that is paramount to them naturally the biggest and easiest area that contributes to that is cutting back on capex and interest payments. Corporates do change their tactic from time to time in large part at the behest of powerful shareholders. I won’t be surprised though if changed demand conditions or forecast will prompt them to reconsider their plan prior to 2021. Being the giant already that they are gives them such leeway. But these are like politicians, they do what the people who vote them want. It is not uncommon for large companies to freeze their capex for a time. They may feel bloated after buying more such as the 10% of Wodgina.

Albemarle’s cutback being the lithium giant will reduce the risk of other producers being a casualty of over supply if that is real, and improves their viability. So pls and a40 sentiment may somewhat improve.

As for Ltr, my view is that we simply focus on expanding our resource and increasing our value. There are many other parties who will chase our deposit other than albemarle. In fact either we didn’t put albemarle or we’ve put albemarle in the last of the list of potential suitors of Ltr
