It has been interesting to observe the coalescing of the left in coalition for any party left of the LNP during this election on these forums.
The transparent defence of the TEALs as independent, despite the overwhelming facts that they are a party, is clear as day.
It’s obvious to all why the traditional HC Labor sycophant is perpetuating this myth, solely because the TEALs oppose the LNP and you view it as a method to reduce the LNP by diluting the primary vote to gain seats through preferences within the left coalition.
It is a clear tell that those engaging in this coalition aren’t doing so from a policy principle base but have shifted into a US style Left vs Right political landscape.
Long gone are the days of the traditional Labor base. That has been dissolved, no wonder the blue collar workers base has began departing Labor in droves.
The neoliberalism Bob Hawke base of the Labor party has been replaced by a democratic socialist left coalition, happy to link arms with a far-left party like the greens
