Good article in SMH this morning sourced from Bloomberg, "Kepco considers Australian uranium".
South Korea's biggest electricity provider plans to buy a uranium asset this year as buying opportunities unfold after Fukushima.
The company is seeking ventures or direct purchases of projects in Australia, Canada and the US that have 50M pounds of uranium resource and production costs lower than $US45 a pound.
Now that Junction Dam has a strike length of 15km is it unreasonable to extrapolate an exploration objective of 40 to 50M pounds? The Honeymoon deposit down the road has 6.5M pounds with a grade of 0.24% with a 1km strike length.
In November 2009 Marmota nominated an exploration objective of 4 to 5M pounds when the strike length was only 1.5km.
Worthwhile contemplating that the Junction Dam deposit could potentially qualify for Kepco's shopping list.
