Firstly let me start by saying that I am an investor and there for my thoughts should be viewed that way.
    Republic of Angola
    Population 2005 estimate 15,941,000
GDP 2007 estimate $61.04billion Per capita $6,500 which puts Angola at upper middle status in world standards of GDP per capita. Please refer to (http://ucatlas.ucsc.edu/gnp/gnp.html)
Refinery production Luanda Refinery (Petrofina), 39,000 bpd total
    Oil – consumption 50,000 bbl/day (2005 est.)
Oil - proved reserves: 5.412 billion bbl (1 January 2006 est.) Please refer to
    (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ao.html#Comm)
With these facts alone and looking at GDP which rose about 150% per capita in 2 years I think MS is on a winner with the refinery. With the increase of wealth and industry in Angola then you would have to think that there must be massive need for more refineries.
Also dug deeper into FPSO but facts hard to come by. Are they capable of producing a consumable product such as petroleum or diesel if so can you please point me in the right direction of your source. Found some info on costs on FPSO on santos website they use FPOS in their Jabiru discovery. Participants % by Santos of 10.3125%, Capital invested by Santos to date is approximately A$65 million (please refer to http://www.santos.com/Content.aspx?p=220). Also this FPSO only has the capacity of 55,000 barrels of oil per day so sorry not apples for apples here but best I could find.
Look forward to hearing other long termers thoughts on these facts
    Best regards
    Ciggys
