Dear Sir
Re: Nickel Mineralisation in Western Zone at Sherlock Bay
The Directors of Central Kalgoorlie Gold Mines Limited (CKG) are pleased to announce the intersection of significant nickel mineralization in the western zone at Sherlock Bay.
All six closed spaced shallow holes drilled in a traverse along co-ordinate 19725E intersected nickel mineralisation over 0.5% Ni showing continuous mineralisation from 20m to 100m below the surface.
This traverse line is approximately 850 metres west of the western limit of the easter n mineralised zone (as reported in the Company.s announcement of 22 Ju ly 2003).
Best results were as follows:
Hole No. From To Interval %Ni SB29 117m 125m 8m 0.74
Since its most recent announcement of results on 22 July 2003, CKG compl eted a further 11 RC drillholes totalling 1,222 metres. Drilling was concentrated on the western end of the mineralized horizon, under a small gossanous outcrop.
The Company is very encouraged with these results as the mineralisation is of a higher grade than indicated from shallow drilling by the earlier exploration completed by Texas Gulf in the 1970.s.
As previously announced on 19 May 2003, CKG intends to exercise its option to acquire the
Sherlock Bay Project subject to shareholder approval.
