in the true spirit of judaism

60 American Jews wrote a letter to the Israeli government where they renounced Israeli citizenship in order to detach from Israel's barbaric policies towards Palestinians. While the support for Israel among the American Jews continues to remain almost reflexive, many Jewish groups expressed concern regarding the violations of human rights committed by Israel, - as the Palestinian information center reported.

The letter released in the mass media announces that the right for citizenship granted to all Jews in accordance with the Repatriation Law (Aliyah) "is morally erroneous". The letter says that the Palestinians, who have more rights to repatriation, are subjected to terrorist attacks and are being expelled from their homeland. The letter expresses the hope for the democratic future and solidarity with those who strive towards living without restrictions in Israel, on the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip, based on so-called racial, cultural or ethnic diversity.

    The letter says :-

We, the Jews, born and raised outside Israel, who according to the Repatriation Act have the right to be residents and citizens of Israel, are hereby renouncing this illegal "right" because:

1.We regard it as a moral mistake, since this right is given while the people who have more rights to the true repatriation are being expelled from their homeland by force.

    2. Israel's policies towards the return of Palestinians are real barbarianism and we wish to have nothing to do with what Israel is doing.

3.We disagree with the claim that once all the Jews move to Israel, the problem of anti-Semitism and racism will be solved.

4.We would like to express our solidarity will all of those who put every effort and strive towards living without restrictions in Israel, on the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip, based on so-called racial, cultural or ethnic diversity.

We are hoping that the day will come when all the nations in the region will be living in peace with one another based on mutual respect. Here is what we would like to say to those who view Israel as a zone of safety from anti-Semitism for the Jews: there can be no safety for invaders and oppressors.
