ignore button is bliss!

Just put Schmucks on the ignore list. Mates all that noise, it's gone... I can hear myself think. What do thers think about the ignore button? As a philosophical question that is. Perhaps only for a while. Leave people in suspended animation, say. Particularly those who are invincibly ignorant? Comatose? Is it like turning the machines off on someone whose unlikely to ever recover? Or am I being too hard on that person -whoever I think it might be?
