Though this is undated, it states "The sanctuary sells cat skin rugs and cat skin hats. They are in need of cat skin suppliers and will pay $20 each for properly tanned cat skins."
I went to Warrawong in the early 1990s with a Senate inquiry into commercial utilisation of native wildlife and met Wamsley. He had a massive cat-skin rug on the wall which was very colourful!

P.S. I went cross-country skiing in China in 1980 with a group and we were variously offered at meals dog, toads, little birds, tortoise, horse, buffalo tendons, none of which I could bring myself to eat LOL!
