so this is where we are going, and the carbon tax not passed in parliament....but you could say, the energy companies have already passed on a carbon tax, and guess what you get for it....
a green invoice....to show they are fighting global warming...thats the carrott,
and a huge energy bill, to stop you using the most basics of heating, cooling or cooking,....wow what a big stick...

forget about turning out the lights, to save the planet...the lights in an average home uses miniscule energy,
its the heating and cooling, and cooking, new PC and TV's, that makes the meter race around, like a greyhound...
    extract only.........
Woolworth?s boss Grant O?Brien has a potent metric for measuring the public?s hostility to a new carbon dioxide tax on their electricity:

Already the power shock is prompting frugal behavioural change. ?We have sold out of hot-water bottles,? O?Brien told a retail function this week. ?They are going to bed at night and they are turning off the heater and they are taking a hot-water bottle to bed.?

This is not just about people not affording their power already. It?s also about telling them the planet is warming when they are shivering.

oh, and some are turning off the heating, it is too expensive, and cuddling up in bed, watching tv, turning off the lights, to stay warm.....
seems like we are really going backwards, cave men days, or to the 1940's, in this the brave new green world...

and for what, so energy company bosses make a fortune, and swan and tribe reckon we are wealthier than ever...
thats crap swan and tribe, and you know it...
