    Hi Fitzman,

    Quite right.

    Noticed also the latest USA results:

    House of Representatives (218 seats required).
    R = 226 (previously 223)
    D = 198 (208)
    I = 1 (1)
    U = 10 (3 vacant)

    Even if all U 10 seats fall to D, the R majority will be 17 (previously 11).

    Senate (51 seats required).
    R = 50 (previously, 49)
    D = 46 (50, including Senator Wellstone's vacancy)
    I = 1 (1)
    U = 3 (-)

    Of the Senate seats still in doubt:
    1)
    Louisanna is showing D=48, and R=51, with multiple 2xD and 3xR candidates;
    2)
    Minnesota is showing D=46, and R=51, with ~1/2 the precincts reporting; and
    3)
    South Dakota is showing D=49, and R=50, with 84% of precincts reporting. R has trailed all night, but now leads by 2,000 votes.

    The likely final line-up in the Senate is R=51, D-48, and I=1.

    According to CNN, this will "be the first time since 1934 that the president's party gained in the off-year elections of his first term".
