Pauline Hanson in with chance to win seat in Queensland

ONE of Australia’s most divisive politicians is on the cusp of making an unlikely comeback.
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is ahead in the key seat of Lockyer after Saturday’s remarkable state election in Queensland.
With 77 per cent of the electoral roll counted, Ms Hanson is ahead by 387 votes on two-party-preferred terms.
She is in with a chance to kick out the Liberal-National Party incumbent Ian Rickuss in the rural southern Queensland electorate.
ABC election analyst Antony Green was not willing to make a prediction on the outcome.
“At the moment, she’s just slightly ahead. It could go either way from here,” he toldnews.com.au this morning.
Should Ms Hanson win the seat, she would join three other MPs on the crossbench, and possibly wield strong influence over the state.
