Juat went to the local cheapest supplier of Tooheys Old & paid $35 for a carton, last jan paid $32 & in feb -a couple of weeks - will pay $39 (if I can find the $$$$)

The cpi from memory is around 3% so why the big rise?

I can guess that as labour costs went up, transport costs went up, cardboard costs went up, plastic costs went up, advertising costs went up so the end result is the 'Old' black gold goes up a lot more than 3% somewhere near 22% in a year.

So for all the bargain hunters the tip is to stock up before feb. By the by Wild Turkey & Cola only $70 a carton at L -----land.
