Interesting article with potentially positive consequences to even further improve the returns from Dikulushi. I've edited the article so only the parts of interest to AVL shareholders are shown. The article was on Reuters, concerning Zambia's Finance Minister Emmanuel Kasonde's annual Budget speech to parliament. Cheers John.

"...Kasonde announced plans to scrap a five percent customs duty paid by mining companies on imported mineral ores. He said the move was aimed at encouraging cross-border mining activities.

Canada's First Quantum Minerals FM.TO currently mines copper ores from its Lonshi mine in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo and processes the ore at its Bwana Mkubwa operation in Zambia.

Australia's Anvil Mining AVL.AX processes its copper ores from Congo in Namibia, arguing that Zambian taxes were prohibitive. Anvil authorities had previously appealed to the Zambian government to remove the tax to promote the industry."
