My view is that SYA will be in the shortlist for winning NAL, for a few reasons:
- They have a viable solution to restore NAL mine to operational efficiency (via blended ore from Authier). This is a unique proposition that others wouldnt have due to location.
- This formula will eliminate need for processing plant at Authier. Environmentalists happy and would mean more support for Authier.
- Piedmont investment a huge vote of confidence and offtake agreements already in place
- Piedmont's CEO Keith Phillips stated on the record they will support SYA's regional expansion.
- SYA/PLL spod will supply TESLA, this will be a feather in the cap of IQ
- CATL are a secured creditor for NAL, and TESLA one of their largest customers. They will either want to keep Tesla happy or be included in the bid with SYA/PLL
