The thought of ruining already disadvantaged people's lives makes one circumspect about investing. Of course, in some cases, industrialisation can make profound benefit's for the better to those in 3rd world conditions... but only if their governments properly regulate.
However, even in developed nations such as our own, resulting environmental damage can have detrimental effects, as noted in the SW by the forestry and mining industries.
Ive benefited from heavy industry and hope to continue to do so after my current hiatus, so its all more of a conundrum than hypocrisy, with no easy solutions!
