Very impressed with your tech expertise LadyL.
To be honest the comments about AKIDA requiring a computational workhorse like Nvidia's GPU to do the math are (just as @uiux said); straight from our CEO's mouth

"Spiking neural network is exceptional at recognizing repeating patterns, GPUs and CPUs are really workhorse computational engines, they do math. We don't do math, we don't do computation."

Again AKIDA is a processor not a computer .....I think a very important point.

    SPIKE CONVERTER

    Agree Tech
The SC was actually designed into the architecture of the hardware Accelerator to convert 1's and 0's of incoming data streams to spikes. (A major piece of the architecture ready for use in AKIDA) Best that I simply refer again to Louis words about the Spike Converter.

"There are a whole bunch of blocks that are necessary, transducers in the world, things that We take inputs that are not spikes, and we have some very sophisticated approaches, some which are wrapped up in patents, some which are wrapped up in trade secrets, that convert that data into spikes. If you have a standard camera, you're getting pixel data, if you have a spiking camera, great, you can bypass the pre-processing, but for data inputs, if it's data, financial transactions or cyber security, that data has to be converted into spikes.pick up information, if it's real world data, sights, sounds, pressure, temperature, don't output sights, they output zeroes and ones out of data streams. One of the strengths of what we've done in the FPGA that's implemented in the Accelerator is we have a block that is a Spike converter."

    Agree.
Snap64 was already capable of unsupervised learning. But apart from proof of life not capable of doing anything like the unsupervised learning of AKIDA and that's because of Simon Thorpe and JAST.

Who knows; maybe @Mr Tech Laden was right a few weeks back and PVDM did know that Thorpe had JAST to offer them after just a few months more of testing and providing PVDM completed the aquisition of Spikenet.
