I spent 2 months in Canada and Alaska earlier this year, water and greenery everywhere. Whilst in a small town in Alaska got talking to a lady, she was a marine biologist, had been there many years, and had just signed up for another 5 year stint. She informed me that half the town's population were scientist in one form or another, and they were really concerned with what they were witnessing. Banff, a beautiful town in the Rockies, experienced a large fire which virtually wiped out half the town shortly after I arrived back in Aus. The floods and fires which have devastated so many parts of Europe. Never mind the extreme temps which WA is experiencing. The sooner we act, more chance we have of protecting this beautiful planet of ours.
