Friday, February 6, 2015 A Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighter caught fire while battling flames in Oak Cliff.
The fire broke out at a home in the 110 block of East Woodin Boulevard in Dallas at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
One of the firefighters, who was on a ladder near one of the home's second-story windows, caught fire on his back, with flames shooting from his protect gear uniform. A fellow firefighter, who was right behind him, patted him down, extinguishing the flames. Without missing a beat, the firefighters continued to fight the blaze.
The fire gutted the home and killed one of three dogs that lived inside, according to the father of the woman who lives there. That man, Morgan Moore, lives next door to his adult daughter and her fiancé. He told NBC 5 he and the fiancé heard a woman shouting outside before they knew the house was on fire.
“And then the lady came up and told us that somebody had just come out of the house, got in a vehicle and took off,” Moore said. “And the front door was open and the house was on fire.”
There is no confirmation yet from DFR arson is a possible cause of the fire.

The poor fireman, his fr clothing didn't perform too well, imagine all the toxic chemicals that would have been exposed into the atmosphere and his lungs:(
