While it is clear from the level of scrutiny by the papers of Israeli reprisals after Palestinian suicide attacks that the Israeli victims are routinely ignored or glossed over, I am surprised that there is no mention of the Donkey Bomber.

Associated Press, one of the papers key sources (and seemingly the source of Ed O'Laughlin's article in today's Age), reported that

"In the West Bank, a donkey loaded with explosives blew up near an army checkpoint near Bethlehem but caused no casualties, police said. It was not immediately clear if the animal was meant to explode near the troops or if it was transporting a bomb that exploded prematurely."

Jewish casualties may be treated with disdain, but where are the protests from Animal Liberation, WWF, and the Humane Society against the cruel use of animals in the 'Palestine Freedom War'?

Though given the track record of some of the lefties, they would probably justify this cruelty since the donkey would have 'wanted' to blow itself up to further the 'Palestinian cause'.
