    To add to the above, the main thing is getting an admission that NuCoal need to be compensated. This is the main hurdle, as from then on it's just a matter of agreeing on an amount. I'd really like to know what the composition of the Upper house is, haven't been able to find any news on that so far.

    Assuming they are forced to agree to compensation, I'd much prefer to see NuCoal go for at least $500m. After all they paid nearly $100m for the licence in the first place, then spent money (I forget how much) on exploration to prove up the resource. I remember reading an article a while back, afraid I don't have the link but I think it was a Chris Merritt piece written at least a year ago, putting the amount they could claim at around $440m - and that didn't include damages. If the company accepted a token settlement, say $100m, that'd be extremely disappointing & I'd be surprised if they did so. Anyway, there's a lot that has to happen before we got to that point.
