Ok Heres firstly how I made the calculation, this link says in 2014 the average cost per kwh was 23c or so, so I added 5% per year to 2018 and got about 28c a kwh world average. Thats not adding supply charge that can be another 40%. So Im working on 28c per kwh in 2018. Then to get an estimate for the 30 year average price. I assume 5% per year rise in power prices making the mean average over 30 years the mid 15yr point of 60c Per kwh .

So assuming a large Highrise building of 10,000 sqm surface area on the North, West and East wall. the building for the example is 50 meters by 50 meters wide by 66 meters high. making the 3 sunny walls a total of 10,000 sqm of clearvue glass, assuming every sqm is the clearvue solar product.

30 watts per sqm per hour is the peak power rate, but to be realistic over 365 days of average normal days Im using 110 watts generated per 1 sqm per day.

So the Glass price is $540 per sqm for that quality of glass, that wouldve been used in that Building anyway and the Clearvue tech adds $60 per sqm to that so would cost $600 per sqm.

10,000 sqm of that Glass costs $6 million, with the included cost within that for the Clearvue tech is $600,000 .

Ok the $$ paypack. 10,000 sqm of glass making 110 watts a day (0.11 kwh per day per sqm) x 365 days x $0.60c kwh x 30 years = $7,227,000.00c in Power value over 30 years.

The Total glass cost $6 million

The Clearvue cost within that is $600,000

The 10,000 sqm of glass makes over 400 megawatts of power per year.

The payback in year 1 at the 28c kwh average price is $112,420.00c

The Payback numbers start looking really good when you factor in that power prices could double every 10 years but at my calculation of 5% per year Ive worked on 63% gain per 10 years in power prices.
