    I just didn't understand why Woollydog would state NTA has nothing to do with total returns, when every LIC utilises both NTA ...AND... Share Price as a measure of total returns.

    They just separate total returns into two distinct categories. Total return which tracks the NTA (plus dividends) and total return which tracks the share price (plus dividends).

    So saying NTA has nothing to do with total returns isn't exactly correct. It's more so they track total returns using both NTA and Share Price.

    It is the use of both NTA... AND... Share Price when calculating total returns is what caused the confusion.
