NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s brothers are still fugitives in hiding from a corruption inquiry and the NSW Liberal Party still has 20 seats to fill with candidates with the state election only 4 weeks away on the 25th of March.
Add that to the corruption allegations at the NSW ICAC still hanging over former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and former NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro it makes a recipe for total disaster at the March election and all the damage is self-inflicted.
It’s hard to remember a more corrupt government going to an election asking voters to give them another 4 years.
Labor also has a “handful” of seats to fill which is embarrassing but the Liberals have 20 to fill which is gross incompetence given they have known for 4 years the date of the election because NSW has fixed terms.
It is less than 12 months ago at the May 2022 federal election that the NSW Liberals also faced the same crisis of gross incompetence for failing to pre-select candidates in a reasonable time frame.
Pre-selecting candidates months before an election when you have known the election date for 4 years is not rocket science but for some reason it’s too hard for the Liberal Party and to a lesser degree the Labor Party.
The SMH reported:
The NSW division of the Liberal Party came under fire during the federal election campaign for significant delays in selecting candidates, including some that were chosen at the 11th hour.
Premier Dominic Perrottet vowed that he would not allow similar delays to plague his campaign, but the party has struggled to find suitable candidates for many seats.
“The Liberals hope to finalise some seats at the weekend but will still have more than a dozen outstanding. Their Coalition partners, the Nationals, have had all candidates in place for some time.” (Click here to read more)
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s brothers, Charles and Jean-Claude, are still fugitives in hiding from an NSW parliament corruption inquiry avoiding subpoenas so they don’t have to give evidence. Dominic Perrottet is continuing to claim he doesn’t know where his brothers are which only a fool would believe.
Channel 9 was late to the party and published an “exclusive” as per below of Premier Dominic Perrottet’s brother Jean-Claude and 2 other liberals going into hiding even though other media, including this website, had published the story a week ago. (Click here to read more)
Channel 9 also didn’t mention Charles Perrottet which might have something to do with the rumour he has moved to another state which apparently puts him outside the jurisdiction of the NSW parliament to enforce their subpoena for him to give evidence.
As long as the media keep asking Dominic Perrottet where his brothers are at his daily media conferences it will keep getting more and more embarrassing for him and if the media stop asking then they aren’t doing their job.
Premier Dominic Perrottet and the NSW coalition government should lose the election in a landslide if corruption is the key issue for voters and we will know in four weeks if it is.
