Have a friend who is experiencing a problem with his PC continually prompting to connect to the (dial up)internet (I have cable so cannot emulate his problem).

His system runs W98SE and his ISP is Telstra. After the PC boots a panel appears asking whether he wants to connect to the internet - answers no and closes the box. After 5 mins. or so the box appears again and he again answers no, etc, this goes on continually.

Have checked out the MS intenert connection options in the Control Panel, but nothing there would seem to hold the answer. So maybe ithe answer lies with the Telstra ISP software which is on his system?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
