co2 pollutant tax

Here we are being told by Gillard & Co. that we must put a tax on this dreaded CO2 "pollutant" to save us from desaster but when you go to the Australian Government's National Pollutant Inventory to see just how bad this gas is,
guess what?
CO2 is NOT listed as a pollutant!

Maybe they should choose another gas to hang a tax on.
