Not sure about Clive Palmer, but it's a pity that some of the other parties don't also adopt this stance!

NUCLEAR power is part of the panacea Indi candidate Shane Wheatland believes can help solve Victoria’s energy challenges.
Amid the ongoing debate over coal fired power stations and renewable sources, the Euroa-based fitter who is currently working in the mining industry, told around 80 people at a candidates’ forum in Wangaratta that his Clive Palmer United Australia Party is committed to building a nuclear power plant in every state.
“One kilogram of coal would create eight kilowatts of power… however, one kilogram of uranium would create 24 million kilowatts of power and it would be at 50 per cent of the cost, be Commonwealth owned and have zero emissions,” he told the audience at the community forum, hosted by the Wangaratta branch of the Victorian Farmers Federation.
