as usual tim blair is always onto this scam  - eg despite all this rubbish about man made climate change - the plebs want to fly.... who knows, but maybe some passengers might buy some stupid carbon offsets - eg plant a tree somewhere - but that is only a temporary solution as when the tree dies, all the stored carbon in the tree finds it way back to the atmosphere..

To keep the climate safe we need drastic cuts in air travel

    (see https://www.eta.co.uk/environmental-info/air-travels-impact-on-climate-change/ )

Yesterday was the busiest day of the year in the skies so far and our busiest day ever. 202,157 flights tracked! The first time we've tracked more than 200,000 flights in a single day

The number of passenger aircraft in our skies is set to double by 2035.

the above from tim Blair's blog

meanwhile in the real world, despite billions being spent on cycleways, it seems that people are cycling less  - and what could be more green than cycling.. the following also from tim blairs blog

Considering the billions of dollars that federal, state, and local governments have poured into bicycle infrastructure over the past decade, the steady drop in cycling amounts to a sharp vote of no confidence in bicycles as the much-touted wave of transportation's future.

north korea must be a greenies paradise - very few cars; plenty of bikes; no neon lights ; public transport  …. mmm not a paradise but a nirvana
