christmas shopping my way.

My solution to Christmas shopping for the last 3 years has been to take my 5 grand nieces (ages 3 to 14 ) to the local discount shop (e.g. Crazy Clint, Solly, Chicken Feed etc.)give them a $…. limit and a basket and turn them loose, I buy decorated bags for each of their purchases and take their shopping home till Christmas,

The Pluses
1. I don’t have to think of what to buy.
2. I don’t have to worry if I’m buying for the right age group.
3. I only have to go to one shop.
4. I know how much it’s going to cost.
5. The kids get what they want.
6. They get a lesson in shopping & maths.
7. And 3 weeks later they get to see what they bought all over again.

They organize themselves now and let me know when to show up with the money. Beautiful !

PS Works for birthdays too.
