These are dots worth joining. If Dr. Makary was forced out of the FDA by higher powers, then this is surely a nice parting gift to developers of drugs for rare diseases.
@LearningEachDay, re your puzzlement about the Ryoncil website under the ryoncil thread, would it not be possible that the company were tightening or fine tuning its supply chain focus to making available its products as close as possible to sites to treat (like points of sale in a retail context) ie. in the transplant centres for SR aGVHD pediatric patients, such that they would want to narrow the sale focus somewhat to physicians (after doing this process for a year now). I mean, SR aGVHD is a complicated condition and if the company were to choose between talking to patients’s carers and doctors who actually authorise the prescriptions, who would it choose to target. After all, they are not selling paracetamol for headaches. I don’t know if it’s the case - maybe the company is just sprucing its ryoncil website up. I always thought it doesn’t look very snazzy.
