I'm trying a new cutnpaste technique here;Based on the numbers reported in the Reuters Article, Canada's gold holdings now total 300,000 oz.
At US$350/oz, that stockpile is worth US$105 million. Total foreign reserve holdings amounted to US$36.7 billion.
Elementary math skills reveal that gold accounts for 0.29% of the country's reserves. Virtually nothing.
Anyone still want to hold Canadian dollars?
Can't imagine we're any better off here.
