Broadband - Which is best?

I was just wondering if anyone in WA country area had an opinion on which Broadband provider was the best. I currently have dialup connection, but would like to go with the ASDL connection. Considering I log in about 3 times a day I think it is going to be cheaper, long term, to swap over.
Would like to here your thoughts - what traps are there when you do swap over. How much faster is 128/64kb than the current dialup connection?
