Yep.
A few disgruntled AGO trolls here too, who want to blame KB for the IO price falling from USD187 to under USD30, years back.
KB has always made honest and truthful disclosures. Still, with the SP falling its hard not to doubt everything and yourself.
Ganfeng love our product. So much so, they have committed USD20m to assist us in Stage 3, if we go down that road. If Ganfeng like it, there's no reason why GL wouldn't either.
We seem to be the only miner getting short shrift re supplying converters at the moment though. Perhaps we're looking to partner up with the Koreans, which they're not happy about? Certainly when you read statements like:
"The Pilgangoora Project’s spodumene concentrate processed via the POSCO plant is producing anindustry-leading lithium hydroxide product as POSCO gears-up for participation with Tier 1 batterymanufacturers in the growing South Korean and international battery markets."
Why wouldn't POSCO jump all over Pilgangoora? Second only to Greenbushes and it's not available.
When it comes to quality, the likes of Bentley and Daimler, etc. are going to want nothing less AND WILL PAY FOR IT making the demand for POSCO/PLS LiOH, inelastic.
KB has always said it and most of the L/Ters here have said it, one time or another ... its all about QUALITY.
We've seen the Lithium pricing over the last year or two fracture into different grades of quality ... and we and POSCO are producing "the top shelf stuff".
The Chinese saw product returned from the USA in early 2018 (I think it was Ford?). There was a Bloomberg article a few months ago outlining the Chinese public's EV battery complaints.
The price of LiOH is/will splinter into differing grades of quality.
As the Ann. says, POSCO has been using our Spod for their 2500ktpa LiOH plant (news to me). Now they say "industry leading LiOH product". Why wouldn't POSCO look to securing the most of PLS product as possible?
Giddy up.
