Bill Shorten is planning a windfall by denying SMSFs their franking credit. He will reap very little from this. It is so easy to engineer around, he will just increase our administrative costs.

Any one in pension mode merely needs to shift their assets earning franking credits to a BT account. BT, like the union funds, values the franking credits and deposits the grossed up dividend to the account. It costs about $2000/ year.
