curious on your thoughts of bullion vs miners in terms of total portfolio weight or if you view the former as real insurance and the latter as completely seperate and businesses first and no different from a bhp/rio and really only a coincidence that they mine gold.
Or do you still view gold miners as part of your total gold exposure?
fwiw i am more in the former camp, although have as much invested in gold miners as i do bullion. if/when this cycle peaks and valuations get stretched i will sell some (probably not all) the miners but i cant fathom a 'normal' or non mad max scenairio where id part with bullion.
