Probably doesn't have that much to do with Anteris specifically as a company but a result of everybody going short on riskier assets as Trump crashes the market.
The cost to borrow is only 6%, which is relatively low. For example, I've made a very small bet in a profitable fintech company that has a tiny market cap due to a mountain of convertible notes still outstanding and the cost to borrow that stock has been over 400% recently, which could trigger a short squeeze if short sellers rush to buy back shares after a news release...or not if no news and the stock continues to drop. That's why I only gambled a small amount.
Anyway, this is what you get with AVR trading on Nasdaq as opposed to OTC in the US. It's much more exposed to macro conditions.
