BRN won't make deals with auto manufacturers directly IMHO - they will go through companies that make the components that go into the vehicle AI systems. Think companies like Bosch who make electronic components for all the vehicle manufacturers (Bosch make EFI injectors, spark plugs, coils, mirror motors, O2 sensors, ABS/DSC computers and components etc etc). Essentially the vehicle companies go to companies like Bosch and ask for components that perform to a spec. Sometimes they will be "off the shelf" sometimes they are made specifically for a vehicle to fit a specific space or match with another engine component.
You'd be surprised how many components from different marques are exactly the same. My BMW has an 8 speed auto transmission that is manufactured by ZF. The transmission is used by a load of companies because it's so good. It just gets tweaked to match the engine size and performance requirements for each vehicle.
