Zimbabwe will introduce lithium concentrate export quotas and require commitments for more local processing as part of conditions to allow the resumption of mineral exports, the mines ministry has told producers.

So it appears that they will allow export of spod again but with some policing and enforcement. A little bit of control to what had become a bit of the "wild west" is probably not bad.

No doubt this will be used to drive our share price down but realistically the shipments didn't really stop and the shortage is such that it should make no difference. Taking out 15% of the Chinese supply was always going to be a big ask and does not seem to have had any price effect - I guess behind the scenes it was known that this was always going to happen.

Reading on line, and between the lines, this was causing some pain to the local population who work in the mines. So this should help them.

    Just my interpretation.
