Very interesting material especially coming from an EPA site. Well found there Mogga.

Gives a bit of context to the statement by NAGs mananagement in the Last Qrtrly where they said:
'the Company remains very confident of being awarded large tonnages of PASS management in future tenders for major infrastructure projects, as compared to the relatively low tonnage in the “Pre-Works” part of the MMRP.'

Given that the EPA in their article said about:

    1) Prevent oxidation:this may include placing potential acid sulfate soil into an anaerobic environment, usually below the water table.

    2) That they (the EPA) would "promote and encourage best practice management of soils and reuse options rather than disposal of acid sulfate soils to landfill."

So the EPA is saying it does not want it to go into landfill - that landfill sites are not best practice.

They are siting anaerobic disposal submersed below the watertable as one of the prescribed management techniques.

We know the State Govt is pushing for the rehab of mining sites from Sat Article in The Australian.

We know from the Four Corners Report, that 900km to Ipswich is not a cost barrier for transporting it (mere 145km for NAGs).

We know from previous Qrtrly NAGs & Lend Lease have already had PASS discussions based on the cancelled EWL project

We know the Vic state govt has a proposal from NAGs to put the PASS in the NAGs pits & that they are considering it.

Know wonder NAGs management is confident.
I guess when you know what is really going on and so ... it isn't surprising they are quite confident, afterall they would know the discussions they have had, even if they can't reveal them.

So they know the truth and would be laughing at the lies that sometimes appear on this forum. They would know - Time will reveal the truth, even if they can't reveal it now.
