I don't know about others but I do that sometimes with the hopeful stocks, especially if I bought it at a low price (historically in comparison). Say if I bought APG at 5c and will be very happy to get 8.8c for it and I am going away for a few weeks, I would put in a sell order and hope that I won't miss out on any short-lived action while I am away.
