Not so much the content itself but the main benefit is that when a vessel is loaded with IO, there is less water content. This means more efficient operations at port and freight cost savings.
For example, if IO at Vake typically has 8% moisture content, then a vessel with 100,000 metric tonnes would have wastage of 8,000 metric tonnes.
If dry processing reduces this to 6%, then there would only be wastage of 6,000 metric tonnes.
Wet or dry processing makes no difference to the amount of IO dmt the customer will receive. It just comes down to whether it is feasible for the company to engage in dry processing or not as this will typically increase C1 costs.
